This generation is facing a crisis like none before it: a crisis of trust. We no longer trust the individuals, ideologies and institutions that previous generations once believed in.
In a world with Presidents we don’t trust, Prime Ministers that weren’t elected and promises that turned out to be propaganda – we could be forgiven for being cynical about the system.
Our fingers have been burned too often by the abuses of power and the betrayals of promises and commitments - and we are left adrift and confused, without a sense of how to find hope for change or anything different.
So how should we pray for the leaders of our countries, companies and churches – when our fingers have been burned by the abuses of power and the betrayals of promises and commitments?
Rev Mark Meynell of the Langham Partnership joins us to analyse the problem and offer suggestions for how to find grounds for hope.
