Our fees explained
We know that fees can be complicated to calculate, and nobody likes hidden costs. Fees for all courses are made up of several different components. These are summarised in the table below. The simple equation is:
Course fee =
Tuition fee + Mode of Delivery Fee + Accommodation Fee*
+ (Academic Registration Fee x number of years enrolled on a validated programme)*
Redcliffe courses are offered as non-residential. Details about how we can assist you in finding suitable local accommodation are found on our Living in Gloucester page. The amount you pay depends on the length of the course, your accommodation options and whether or not it is validated.
Tuition fee |
All teaching, staff contact time and academic support. This includes all tuition delivered at Redcliffe College, and supervision and support provided during any distance-learning stages of your study programme.
|

Maintenance / Mode of Delivery Fee |
The non-academic programme provided by Redcliffe during your period of study, including all refreshments and use of the College facilities. Some courses and modes of study provide certain meals as part of the programme, others provide accommodation. Please see individual course details to clarify what is included with your course.

The Redcliffe Bursary fund is provided by the gifts of God’s people to release God’s people into God’s mission by ongoing learning and development. It is provided to enable those people in key roles in mission and ministry to study Redcliffe programmes, even if they struggle to raise the necessary funds.
The bursary typically covers 10-50% of tuition and/or accommodation costs normally paid to the College associated with attending a programme of study. It does not cover travel costs to and from College, or personal spending money during the delivery.
How do I apply for the Redcliffe Bursary?
Please contact us to request an application form.
Before applying for bursary funding, you must be accepted to study on one of our programmes, and the Course Leader must be in full support of your bursary application. Please note that:
- Not all bursary applications are approved, and a Bursary Committee is convened to decide the outcome of an application based on certain criteria.
- You should be able to show that you have creatively explored all other funding options available to you. You should be able to show that your church or organisation are in full support of your application to study, even if they are not in a place to contribute to the costs.
When can I apply for the bursary?
Usually, applicants will apply to the bursary before they join a programme.
However, we recognise that sometimes during the course of a student’s programme, their personal, financial or funding circumstances may change and in some cases, these changes may affect a student’s ability to complete their studies.
The bursary fund can help to reduce the fees due on the remainder of the course, and applications can be submitted by contacting the College Administrator. Applications will be assessed in the same way, and means-testing may be applicable as above.
Scholarships available
Coinciding with our 125th year, Redcliffe have made 25 academic scholarships available to students on our blended MA programmes and certain deliveries.
Scholarships are distinct from bursaries in that they are awarded based primarily on the strategic value of the student or their mission field, rather than primarily on financial need. If you are interested in being a scholarship student, please read the information on our Scholarships page.
