Course Leader, MA in Member Care

Sarah is the course leader for our MA in Member Care taking over from the course founder, Marion Knell, in 2015. She teaches on issues such as re-entry, cross-cultural team issues, member care structures within an organisation and the interface between HR and member care.
Sarah is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development and worked for some years in the NHS. After gaining a Professionals in Mission Certificate at Redcliffe back in 1997/8, she served in Nepal with International Nepal Fellowship along with husband Rob.
Sarah combines her role with that of part-time Human Resources Manager with European Christian Mission Britain, which she has done since 2009. She’s involved in the recruitment and preparation of new missionaries, their member care whilst on the field plus debriefing and re-entry assistance when they return. She values the opportunity to be a practitioner as well as tutor.
In her spare time, Sarah is the mum of 2 teenage boys, an ASA accredited swimming official and ‘swimming mom’, soprano in her local choral society and a voluntary member of the People and Wellbeing Group at the Diocese of Leicester. She attends a local CofE church where she and Rob help to support leaders of connect groups.
