Course Facilitator, MA in Member Care and College Librarian

Rosie Button has been on staff at
Redcliffe since September 2014, teaching Old Testament, Living and Working
Across Cultures, and Greek. Most recently, she acts as Course Facilitator for the MA in Member Care. Alongside teaching, Rosie is the College Librarian.
Rosie felt called into missions as a
teenager, and first went as a short termer at the age of 25 to teach RE and
English at a school in Zambia. She returned to England to do an MA in
Missiology at All Nations Christian College. They joined Crosslinks,
got married, and went to Harare, Zimbabwe where Rosie taught OT and Greek at
the Anglican Theological College, and was also the college librarian. Their two
teenage children were born in Harare.
Upon leaving Zimbabwe in 2002
they were visiting scholars at Redcliffe for one year, and then went to
teach at Uganda Christian University (formerly the Bishop Tucker Theological
College.) Rosie taught NT Greek, Old Testament and New Testament, ran a women
students’ fellowship and was co-ordinator of a children’s library.
Returning to England in 2011, Rosie worked as a librarian for Westminster Theological Centre and
also for a school, before coming on board at Redcliffe in 2014.
As well as her interest in missions and Africa,
Rosie loves reading, art, nature and walking especially on Dartmoor and in the
beautiful Cotswolds.
