Lynn Caudwell, Lecturer in Leadership

Lynn joined the Redcliffe team in November 2012 and teaches on the Leadership MA and Time to Lead courses.

Lynn studied Geography at King’s College London and then worked in the Civil Service as a tax inspector. She then took a break to have two children before taking Bible College training at All Nations Christian College and joining Wycliffe Bible Translators.

Lynn has worked with Wycliffe for 20 years, initially in Ethiopia where, with her husband Simon, she was involved in the initial linguistic analysis of the Basketo translation project. She subsequently served in Personnel work in SIL and Wycliffe for over a decade, which included being the Director for Personnel for Wycliffe Africa Area, SIL Eurasia Area and as part of the SIL International Personnel Leadership Team. She has had much experience of working with both with ex-patriot and African missionaries especially in the areas of crisis management, personnel training and new leadership development. In 2010 she and Simon returned to the UK to pursue further study at Redcliffe, before taking up a role teaching leadership.

Lynn enjoys walking (especially in her home turf of Northumberland), cooking, reading and singing in choirs. She also enjoys family reunions when she can spend time with their adult daughter and son!
