The Planning that LASTS workshop will teach you how to apply
Learning that LASTS principles to existing teaching content or to training you
are designing from scratch.
have completed a Learning that LASTS workshop
have a current teaching situation to work on
have access to and be familiar with the content that you
have been or will be using.
It is preferred (but not essential) to come with a colleague
in order to work together on the design of your shared training course.
The course is taught in partnership with Wycliffe Bible
Translators and SIL International.
This workshop helps you do that using a series of steps,
drawing on the experience of both facilitators and participants, and using the
synergy within the group as we identify common challenges.
The content is designed based on the needs of
participants. Possible topics include:
The workshop considers the application of Learning that
LASTS principles at both the event level, looking at overall layout of teaching
content, and the module level, looking at how principles could be applied in
teaching particular topics.
Participants share their designs via a Learning Event
Planning Guide or Learning Module Design Guides. They will receive coaching and
feedback from their peers and fellow participants.
